Soul Mates

I don't know everything but I know this much is true,
Through thick or think I'll always have you,
All I know is that you'll always be there,
As a friend or a lover I do not care,
See we are soul mates, from now 'till the end of time,
You fill that hole in this old heart of mine,
Everything I'd done and do, I feel like we've always done together,
I feel like I've known you forever,
From those trying times, when I feel weak,
When we're together I feel I can accomplish anything,
To those long summer nights when I feel free,
I can see your star shining down on me,
I know we'll be there for each other time after time,
As long as we keep in touch, we'll have the ride of our lives,
'Cause before I met you everyday was dull, like a black-n-white picture,
But now everyday's an adventure.

Dilemma

When you smile your eyes light up like a summer night's sky,
When I look in them I have to look away and sigh,
For that look in your beautiful brown eyes is my weakness, should I dare tell you?
For I'm with someone else, even when all signs say yes, my heart and mind say no,
I still love her, even if she drives me nuts, so,
I'm still asking the Lord and Lady, what should I do?

Here I am

Here I am, I'm looking for a new band,
While in a new land,
Of a non-secular sort,
A band of brothers, Spiritual Warriors,
So I can continue down this road,
In search of my Brunette Warrior Queen,
One with a kind heart and a gentle soul,
Once I look into her eyes this is what I see,
She's the one, the one I've been searching for,
So full of love, and lonely just waiting there for me,
Yes, she's the one, she is my soul-mate,
Until I find here, I'll travel this road alone,
For I have discovered that to be my fate.

Come with me

I see you standing there so beautiful,
Like a Midnight Rose in Elven fields,
Black on Black, Shadow upon Shadow,
With the deepest Purple & midnight blue when looked upon at certain angles,
I know who you are, I know you Dark Angel.
Join me in the shadows so we can embrace,
As we come close, feel our hearts race,
And when we kiss sparks fly,
Then we lose ourselves in each other as we look into each others' eyes,
As we caress each other we stop just before we explode,
We continue to build up and stop, over and over, taking it real slow,
Then we finally go all the way, reaching true Ecstasy,
When we reach that point, it feels like we're pure energy,
And we intertwine 'till we become one,
And we're at total contentment & peace,
It feels like the universe and us are one,
So what do you say, Come with me.

A night to remember

I've been gone, not seeing you all day,
And tonight, will be something to remember forever and always,
We start with a candlelit dinner at a romantic restaurant,
Then it's to the club where we dance, joke and laugh alot,
Followed by a late night walk on the beach under the full moon,
Then we give each other full body massages with oils, & aromatherapy candles in our hotel room,
Then we sip wine and listen to soft music and make love in front of the lit fireplace,
And as we cuddle I think, Yes, tonight will be remembered always.

How can I tell you?

How can I tell you what I'm thinking,
when all I know is how I am feeling?
You give me gifts and other things (Man this is just like a dream),
But I didn't give you anything,
Nothing was good enough or special enough for you,
Not even a diamond ring was good enough but I guess it would have to do,
When I asked you to marry me I was hoping you'd say "I do."
But just like a dream, this one's too good to be true,
Now you're saying we're through.
I'm not ready to give you up, so tell me, what am I supposed to do?

Do you Promise?

Do you promise to love me 'till the end of time?
Do you promise to be mine and only mine?
Do you promise to go where I go? to see what I see? to forever be with me?
Through thick or thin, our love for each other keeps us warm from within.
Even after this world has gone crazy, Do you promise to still love me baby?
I do. I'm giving my promise to you.

Feelings Together

I remember all we've been through,
And despite everything this heart's still true,
Through arguments and fun you're still mine,
Now 'till the end of time,
We'll live the rest of our lives together,
I know this feeling's forever,
I know you love me,
And I love you too,
Without you I wouldn't know what to do,
I thank god for you,
And I know you thank him for me,

One Long Night

Don't turn around, don't look at me, just keep walking away,
I don't want you to see me crying,
I don't want you to see my pain,
But I know you already see the pain in my eyes, and I feel like I'm dying,
As so many times before, another one I love is leaving me again,
I know there's nothing I can do, but to let her go,
So my knees falter, and I crumble into a sobbing heap in the corner,
And even though I know everything's gonna be alright,
I also know that tonight is going to be one...long....night.

Welcome to my poetry blog, I'm starting this in hopes of reigniting my creative spark, of finding my inspiration once again, I'll start with the only 4 poems I have left out of the more than 20 I've written and lost over the years. These were written during my Junior High through High school years. I hope you enjoy. ~Giovanni
